The distribution of waterway charts in the Czech Republic is executed at two levels.
At the first level the lists of waterways charts in PDF file format are produced,
covering the river Elbe from the state border to Prelouč and the river Vltava from Mělník to Třebenice.
At the second level, the waterway charts in Inland ECDIS format (S-57) are produced.
These charts are made according to the Directive 2005/44/EC of the European Parliament and
of the Council on harmonised river information services (RIS) on inland waterways in the Community.
Since 2011, these waterways charts are extended by depths in the regulated part of Elbe River.
