IENC maps are in a specialized format intended primarily for the Inland Electronic Chart and Display Information System (IECDIS).
The IECDIS and IENC maps are part of the River Information Services (RIS) according to the national Decree No. 356/2009 Coll.
According to this decree, RIS are operated in the area of the Elbe watercourse from river km 949.1 to river km 726.6, including the waterway defined on the Velká Žernoseky water area by signal signs, and in the area of the Vltava watercourse from river km 91.5 to the confluence with the Elbe watercourse, including the mouth of the Berounka watercourse to the Radotín harbour area.
The IENC navigation charts in IECDIS format can be downloaded as .zip packages.
The map list packages are divided into parts for the Vltava, the Elbe and the Elbe – a common border section, which contains a separate sheet made in cooperation with the Federal Administration of Navigation and Waterways of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In addition to the options for displaying map sheets on IECDIS onboard systems, maps can also be viewed, for example, in the freely available SeeMyENC browser, or in the web application available on the D4D portal
